Morning Glory

Silver-gray dawning.
Peeps from a nestling.
Enthralling quiet,
soothes, through the dawn.
Silence; its softness,
fills this rare morning.
Time, seems to stand still,
in tranquilities peace,
Calm is my spirit
drinking in dews cologne.
Sun kindly probes
morning mist with her light;
as nature’s serenity;
comforts my soul.

This poem is from Treena’s book, Substance in Shadow.

    MMMMMMM – I love the dawn and the smell of dew and rain. I can fully identify with this passion of peace and joy – so succinctly written – thank you.

    Treena’s “Morning Glory” immediately brought to my mind a most favored Scripture verse.
    Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.”
